How to Sign Up

PHONE

To get updates on your phone just text the number 40404 the words “follow” and the username of the person you want to follow. If you want to follow Revolution Church, just text “follow revyourlife” to 40404. You’ll receive a text from Twitter asking for a username and it’s done, you’re set up. You’ll now be sent updates to your phone via text message. (standard text messaging rates apply)

DESKTOP

There are a number of pieces of free software such as Tweetdeck and Twhirl that you can use to follow people on twitter. Many people, however, follow updates from the twitter website. They simply bookmark their page and check daily. Go to Twitter.com and click the Get Started box. Follow the directions and you’ll be ready to go. Once you’re set up, type “follow revyourlife” in the “what are you doing” box and you’ll begin receiving updates from Revolution Church.

MOBILE DEVICE

For those of you with smart phones such as an iPhone or Blackberry, Twitter is even easier and more enjoyable.

View and post updates from one of the many apps available to you. The best apps for the iPhone are Twitterific, Twitterfon, Tweetie and Twinkle, all available through the App Store. Some of the better Blackberry apps include Twitterberry and SocialScope.
